Born in Budapest, Hungary, Susan came to America as a child refugee escaping the Hungarian Revolution of 1956, and was raised in New Jersey. She returned to Hungary in 1973 on a scholarship to complete her university studies at the prestigious Lorand Eotvos University in Budapest. After seven years, and successfully finishing her doctorate, summa cum laude, specializing in English and Hungarian Linguistics and Literature, Susan returned to the United States "on top of the world" to begin her work career, and to pursue her many dreams.
These initial years were filled with diverse scholarly projects: She founded her own translation company; assisted Professor Joshua Fishman, Ph.D. with Yeshiva University's "Language Resources Project III" in NY; worked as a Fieldworker for the Library of Congress' Folklife Center, WDC to study "Second Language Acquisition and Ethnic Heritage Language Schools" in the United States; performed as a Hungarian Foreign Language Instructor at The Defense Language Institute in Monterey, CA; assisted at the American-Hungarian Foundation as Executive and Reasearch Assistant; and taught Hungarian Language and Culture at the Rutgers University Saturday Language School in New Brunswick, NJ.
In 1982, Susan's deep love of the arts and travel compelled her to suddenly take a different fork in the road of life, choosing the exciting world of art over her recent scholastic studies and achievements - never looking back!
Thus, the art business developed into a lifelong career as she engaged in the art world in many different roles, affiliated with three of the most important and stellar galleries in the nation, over a two decade period (Hawaii, Las Vegas and Beverly Hills).
Early on she became a star fine art consultant, gallery director, retail and wholesale fine art dealer, later specializing in traveling exhibitions, dealing in art works spanning from the Old Masters to Modern Masters, Pop Culture Icons, Living Masters and Celebrity Art, a fine art publisher, to the development of artist's careers - namely, the world-renowned actor, author, artist and philanthropist, Jane Seymour, for over twenty years.
Thus, the love of fine art and international travel provided Susan with a most exciting and fulfilling life and career, infused with a well-rounded scholarly approach. Through the years, she has been fortunate to be surrounded by art and beauty, while networking with, and humbly befriending, some of the most successful and intriguing people on the planet. Please enjoy a few of these moments through the highlights selected of personal pictures in the Photo Gallery.
